David Carwell is from Cherry Valley, Ark. He has two kids, Rhett (4) and Kendall (6). He completed his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Arkansas State University in 2008. He then accepted an assistantship at Louisiana State University (LSU) in the Reproductive Physiology program where he was exposed to reproductive techniques across several species. During his time at LSU, he was an invited speaker at several conferences - both domestically and internationally. David owns B & D Genetics, a small ruminant reproduction company, and B & D Land and Cattle LLC, a livestock and land holding company. He is also a partner in Washington Springs Ag Partnership (cattle backgrounding company) and partner in Crowley’s Ridge Meat Company LLC, a farm to fork meat sales company. He also been involved with Boer goats since he was 14 years old and has been an approved ABGA judge since 2008. He looks forward to progressing the industry with concerns that maintain the integrity of the breed and exploring new possibilities that offer the membership added value to their herd.
